Our Leadership
ScholarshipIQ was founded by Aanu & Taiwo Afolabi. Together, they have won millions of dollars in scholarships and awards across the world. Through ScholarshipIQ, they have built a team that consistently delivers the same excellent result for our students.
Aanu Afolabi served as the CEO since founding till August 2024. He has passed the baton to Oluwatosin Mudele who now leads the mission-driven team whilst providing strategic leadership for the company.

Scholarship Strategy Session
This is our Consultation Call where we get to know you and discuss the specific path you will take with us. During the Scholarship Strategy Session, you will:
- Get an idea of what it might take for you to secure your target fully funded scholarships
- Receive a personalised list of the scholarships which aligns with your academic aspirations and career prospect
- Discuss the strength of your application profile
- Understand what financial and time commitment it will take to secure fully funded scholarships
The Scholarship Strategy Session typically lasts for 45minutes.
Phase 1: Identify
From our growing database of 300+ fully funded scholarships, you will receive guidance in narrowing down six (6) fully funded scholarships you will target and apply for which aligns with your academic and career goals.
In the case where you are seeking graduate research opportunities, you will receive guidance in identifying and contacting the right academic advisor for you.
Phase 2: Research
You will be guided using our signature research framework in thoroughly researching each of the six(6) fully funded scholarships you identified in Phase 1. Our research framework is well thought-out such that when you put in the required work, writing essays, statement of purpose, personal statements and CV literally becomes copy and paste.
Phase 3: Articulate
Here, you will receive the required step-by-step guidance in structuring and writing a strong and winning essay, personal statement, motivation letter, letter of intent and statement of purpose for each of the six (6) fully funded scholarships. We support you with ideation, striking the right tone and language.
Phase 4: Refine
In this phase, our successful and experienced coaches provide personalised review of your Essays, Personal Statements, Motivation Letter, Letter of Intent and Statement of Purpose (as required by the scholarship application). They ensure that every part of your writing is well articulated in line with the specific scholarship criteria and submit your application with utmost confidence.
Phase 5: CV Clinic
This phase focuses on guiding you to write a tailored CV for each of the six (6) fully funded scholarships. You cannot use the same CV for each of the scholarship applications. This is one of the reasons why many students are unsuccessful.
Phase 6: Finalize
We provide guidance in helping you identify and communicate with recommenders to ensure their letters effectively support your application. We also guide you writing a thoroughly research and well-structured Research Proposal (if applying for a Research Master's or PhD program). Lastly, we help you prepare for interviews as required for your application.
